======================================
Getting Started
======================================
the system will ask for permissions to be granted most likely if it does accept the permissions.
the set up hud is on the left of the screen.
- Click “New Character”.on the setup hud.
This opens a pop-up panel to make sure you want to erase any existing character.
Click on YES.
2.Click on Set Gender.
The gender selection panel appears. Click on the one that most closely matches your character.
Selecting a gender saves it and closes the panel. this will stop the spam in local chat.
- Click on Set Title to set both your NAME and TITLE
This opens a pop-up panel for managing your name and title. Name is your RP character name, not your SL or Display name. You can include your house, but put your title in the title input (next) not the name input.
A panel will appear showing your current title. It most likely will be black.
Click anywhere in the middle section of the set title pop-up.
A blue second life dialog box opens. Enter your character name and hit submit, a second box will drop down this is for extra info if left blank it will leave a 1 in your title so fill it out, hitting enter goes down a line, when finished hit submit!
The title will now appear in the Set Title panel as it will appear over your head. If you like it, click Save Title. If you want to change it, just click in the middle and do it again. To exit without saving, click Cancel.
- Click on Select Class
This opens the Class Selection panel. It is pretty neat.
There is a main section that shows the details for a class. Below that is a row of 7 thumbnails. Clicking on any thumbnail loads the corresponding class details in the main panel.
Below that are a Previous and Next button which page through the 35 different GOT class thumbnails, seven at a time. Page through and click on the thumbnails to see the descriptions of the various classes. When you see the class you want to play, click the SELECT THIS CLASS button at the top of the panel. A Star with the words This Class was Selected appear.
Once you pick a class, you can close th is panel with the small red X. If you do not select a class, your class defaults to NONE and you get a 2 in all stats and cannot increase them.
- Click Manage Stats
This opens the Stats Manager.
There are 20 custom stats that uniquely define your character.. Some are physical, some mental, some related to certain classes more than others.
A normal, untrained person has a 2 in all 20 stats. A 1 is considered a deficiency or handicap. 9 is the maximum.
When you select a class, it defines the maximum possible value for all 20 stats.
You have 0 available points to start. These points are earned by gaining 1,000 XP. For each 1,000 xp you get, you gain 1 point to spend to increase your stats. You may also gain 1 point by reducing a stat you don’t think you want to be useful at to a 1.
The cost to increase a stat doubles with each increase. To go from a 1 to 2 costs 1 point. From 2 to 3 costs 2. From 3 to 4, 4. From 4 to 5, 8, etc.
You should not set more than 4 stats to a 1. Doing so gives you enough points to raise 2 stats from a 2 to 3.
if you want to do this, do it now.
When finished, click SAVE STATS.
If you didn’t see that…. SAVE STATS
Just to be sure… CLICK ON SAVE STATS
- Remove the GOT Setup Hud. You’ll use it in the future when you gain XP, to increase your stats. Feudalism RPG is LEVEL-LESS… you do not gain levels. Instead, you customize your character by spending XP to raise stats within your class limits.
- ADD the Feudalism RPG Belt Pouch. You can now gather items, craft things and get currency from the pay chest. Be careful, the pouch can be robbed. If you get odd messages about feeling tugs at your pouch, someone is trying to rob you.
8.ADD Feudalism RPG RP XP Monitor
This is an optional hud you can wear to earn XP during RP. To use it, just wear it. It goes on your hud at the bottom and appears as a red box. When you want to earn points for RP, click on it. Pick whether you are more of a Para-rp or Casual RP type roleplayer. Para-RP rewards XP based on fewer, longer posts over 30 minutes. Casual RP rewards, smaller more frequent posts over 5 minutes. It then gives you XP for your RP so long as:
- you RP in local chat
- you RP with at least one other person
It awards you xp based on how much you rp. Any OOC comments that begin with OOC or (( are ignored.
If you are not RPing, click it to turn it off. It also turns off automatically if you do not say anything during one cycle. So, keep an eye on it and if it is RED it means you’re not earning XP.
So, now all you para-rpers can earn XP too. Also, whores in the brothel can earn xp during sessions by emoting locally.
Have fun
